What is Binibeca and why visit it?<\/h1>\n

Binibeca Menorca is one of the most emblematic areas of the south coast of the island, within the municipality of Sant Llu\u00eds. Its most famous image is Binibeca Vell<\/strong>, the so-called “white village”, an architectural recreation of an old fishing village, with whitewashed houses, narrow streets and wooden balconies. Strolling through its white labyrinths is like stepping into a living postcard of the Mediterranean. <\/p>\n

Binibeca Vell: the white soul of Menorca<\/h2>\n

Although it may look like an ancient nucleus, Binibeca Vell was built in the 1960s by architect Antoni Sintes Mercadal and Francesc Joan Barba i Corsini. Its design sought to capture the essence of traditional seafaring life and, at the same time, provide a bohemian haven for artists and intellectuals. The result is a photogenic ensemble that has been the subject of thousands of postcards and Instagram photos. <\/p>\n
