What is Líthica and why is it worthwhile?
Líthica is a foundation created to preserve Menorca’ s sandstone quarries and transform them into a unique cultural and scenic space. Strolling through its stone patios, paths and gardens is to understand the island from its raw material and its quarrying trade.
Recognized as of Ethnological InterestIt is part of the catalog of Historical Heritage of Menorca for its ethnological and landscape value. In 2019 it obtained the European Heritage Award / Europa Nostra for its exemplary recovery.
Ideal on cloudy days or if you are looking for a different plan beyond the beaches: here the texture of the stone, the light and the silence rule.
